Navigating the Landscape of Cybersecurity Threats

Join us for a comprehensive exploration of the diverse cyber threats facing both individuals and organizations. We will delve into the tactics and trends within cybercriminal activity covering ransomware, business email compromise, social engineering, credential compromise, data theft, and beyond. Authentic examples will be shared to illustrate these threats, as well as recommended courses of action to become more cyber resilient.

About the Presenter:

Krista Valenzuela is the bureau chief of Cyber Threat Outreach & Partnerships (CTOP) at the NJCCIC, which is responsible for spreading awareness of current cyber threats, tactics, and techniques; promoting cybersecurity best practices; and establishing relationships with critical infrastructure, businesses, organizations, and individuals around the State and beyond.

Mrs. Valenzuela has worked at the NJCCIC for eight years and previously worked at the US Department of Defense on their information assurance mission.
