Event Description

Join us as Levine Querido and Kensington, publishers of award-winning fiction and nonfiction, share how librarians and independent publishers can work together to advocate for a more inclusive and sustainable information ecosystem as well as diverse library collections.

  • Founded in 2019 by Arthur A. Levine, Levine Querido is a dedicated independent publisher committed to discovering and nurturing diverse, underrepresented voices in children's literature. Their authors have won Newbery, Caldecott, Printz, and American Indian Youth Literature Awards, among others. Levine Querido is based in Montclair, NJ.
  • Kensington is an independent, family-owned book publisher located in New York City, and is known as “America's Independent Publisher.” Known for the diversity of the authors and books it publishes, Kensington provides readers with a range of popular genres. The house of New York Times bestselling authors among their list, including Fern Michaels, and more.
