Event Description
Join us as Levine Querido, Kensington, and Princeton University Press share how librarians and independent publishers can work together to advocate for a more inclusive and sustainable information ecosystem as well as diverse library collections.
- Founded in 2019, Levine Querido is an independent publisher committed to discovering diverse, underrepresented voices in children's literature. Their authors have won Newbery, Caldecott, and Printz Awards, among others. They are based in Montclair, NJ.
- Kensington is an independent, family-owned book publisher located in New York City, and is known as “America's Independent Publisher.” Known for the diversity of the authors and books it publishes, Kensington provides readers with a range of popular genres.
- Founded in 1905, Princeton University Press is a nonprofit publisher with close connections to Princeton University. The Press brings influential voices and ideas to the world stage through their academic scholarship, with the goal of promoting the human conversation.
This program is co-sponsored by NJLA & LibraryLinkNJ.
