Join the MentorNJ Task Force for our annual Mega Meetup, providing library staff from around the state an opportunity to gather together for networking, support, and learning! Whether you're a veteran MentorNJ participant or will be joining us for the first time, all are welcome at this fun, full-day event. This year's Mega Meetup schedule includes: 

10AM - 10:30AM; Coffee & Registration

• Join us for breakfast and a chance to chat with your colleagues before our official program beings!

10:30 - 11AM; Welcome & Icebreaker

• Meetup the MentorNJ Task Force and join Task Force members Doug Baldwin and Andrea Levandowski as they lead us in some fun exercises to break the ice and help us get acquainted!

11AM-12:30PM; Featured Presentation 

• "Exploring Mentorship" with Lynn Hoffman, Deputy Director of SCLSNJ 

  Mentorship can be a richly rewarding experience for both the mentor and the mentee, especially when both parties have clear expectations about what they're getting into. Learn about how to get the most out of either side of the equation, and how to be a mentor even if you don't feel ready yet.

12:30PM - 1:30PM; Lunch

• Enjoy a delicious catered lunch and the chance to catch up with your colleagues!

1:30PM - 2PM; Mindfulness Meditation

• The Heartfulness Institute will lead us in a 30 minute exercise to help you relax and find your happy place with heartfulness meditation and breathing exercises. Discover inner peace through simple, joyful meditation.

2:00PM - 3:30PM; Breakout Discussion Groups

• Engage in small group breakout discussions led by our MentorNJ Task Force members. Topics TBD!

3:30PM - 4PM; Optional Wrap-Up & Networking

• Interested participants can gather one last time for a final chance to talk and network, as well as the opportunity to share thoughts or questions with the Task Force!

Registration is limited to 80 participants and opens January 2, 2024. Don't miss it!
