After learning how to create screencasts, you might be interested in learning how to edit tutorials. Some librarians opt to simply re-record their screencasts when interfaces change or record many times until they finally get it right.
Screencasting tools capture your screen and your voice. Though, they can be used to make tutorials, I use free screencasting tools with some email reference questions.
Last week, I shared my favorite screensharing tools to use in tandem with a reference phone call or chat session.
This month, I plan to discuss some of my favorite free screensharing and screencasting tools. Technology can facilitate our reference work without making it more complicated. This post is about sharing your screen with patrons.
The infographic websites I mentioned in my second article are very versatile and offer users a wide range of tools and templates. However, there are more specialized infographic website builders out there that have more specific uses.
Maybe you have lots of ideas for using infographics in your library, but you’re feeling intimidated by the prospect of putting one together. The good news is that you don’t need to be an amazing graphic designer or have incredible tech savvy to build your own infographic.
You’ve made your memes, GIFs, and illustrations and you’ve created your Pinterest and Flickr accounts. Now you’re ready to dig into digital photo editing.
