Instructor/Presenter Bio

Kate Vasilik is the Supervising Librarian of the User Services Department at Piscataway Public Library, where she has worked since July 2011. Previously, she was the Teen Librarian at Franklin Lakes Public Library. Since earning her MLIS from Rutgers University in 2005, she has held a number of leadership positions within NJLA and is also a member of the planning team that created NJ Makers Day. In her current position at Piscataway Library, in addition to serving as the head of User Services, she also focuses on service to those in their 20s and 30s, and is part of the team of librarians responsible for the creation of the library's Make It Yourself makerspace project.
