Peggy works part-time as a Children’s Librarian at Piscataway Public Library. She also works part-time as an Instruction Librarian at Rutgers University and as a Children’s Librarian for the Youth Services Department at Franklin Township Public Library. Peggy co-authored Rated E for Everyone: Expanding Services to Children with Special Needs in the December 2010 issue of School Library Journal, which details the successful gaming program she created for children with special needs at Piscataway Public Library, followed up by a presentation of her gaming program at the May 2011 NJLA Conference. Peggy also co-presented on creative ways to incorporate technology in children’s programs at the 2011 Youth Services Forum. She is passionate about finding innovative and collaborative ways to use technology in her library programs to inspire and nurture self-confidence, creativity, curiosity about learning, and a love of literature in children, and strongly advocates activities and programs that reach out to children with special needs.
