Where: We’ll all be together again at the beautiful Forsgate Country Club for this event.

  • Forsgate Country Club is centrally located in Monroe Township in Middlesex County
  • Location, location, location! The country club is conveniently located right off the NJ Turnpike Exit 8A. If you've been to a meeting at the Monroe Township Library, you've probably driven right past the entrance.
  • We’ll be in the stunning Highlands North Ballroom, which features floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the gardens and fairways.
  • We’ve selected a delicious buffet lunch for you to enjoy.
  • The Country Club offers ample and convenient parking lots on both sides of the Club House.

Libraries of all types are bastions of democracy, access, intellectual freedom, diversity and the public good. Our profession’s core values propel us to serve patrons, students, and faculty in a wide variety of ways. We must continue promoting the value of libraries to enrich our communities.

Loida Garcia-Febo’s interactive keynote will bring together concepts of libraries of all types as pillars of education and at the intersection of human rights, universal access to information, serving diverse and multiethnic populations, and making your library a welcoming place to all members of the community.

After participating in this keynote, you’ll be able to:

  • Build your library service profile identifying vulnerable populations in the communities served.
  • Implement creative marketing and communications strategies to reach out to these populations.
  • Implement equity, diversity and inclusion practices to serve vulnerable populations.
  • Advocate for providing library services to all in our communities.

Loida Garcia-Febo, President Information New Wave, ALA President-Elect, IFLA Governing Board Member

Loida Garcia-Febo is an international library consultant, researcher and expert on topics such as human rights, advocacy and services to multicultural populations. She has served communities as academic, public, school, and special librarian in Puerto Rico and Queens.
