I started my library career as a circulation clerk at an academic library. Later, while serving as a library assisant, I began studying for my MLIS at Rutgers University. After graduation, I worked as a Children's and Youth Services librarian and also served as a part-time academic reference librarian. I am a member of the NJLA Library Workers of Color Section, the NJLA Reader's Advisory Section, NJLA Conference Committee, and I serve on the NJLA Executive Board as a Member-at-Large.
