Descriptions

LLNJ Skill Sharing Conversation

Topic: Skill-Sharing Conversation: Kid's Gardening Clubs

Moderator: Lisa O'Shaughnessy, Summit Public Library

By popular demand! After a popular Skill-Sharing Conversation on Seed & Plant libraries, we're now focusing on gardening activities and programs for children. Library gardens offer a great way for children to come together to learn, grow, and contribute towards a healthy, balanced environment. Feel free join us as we learn about Summit Public Library's popular Little Sprouts garden club, which allows families to participate in STEAM-focused garden lessons and help the garden grow.

Are you looking to start a gardening club, or simply to connect with other library staff who are? Join us as we share ideas for community gardens for children who have a budding interest in the environment and sustainability. All are welcome, especially those working in programming and reference services.

Date & Time: Wednesday, September 10, 10AM

Location: Online via Zoom
