Event Description

EDI-NJ has launched the EDI-NJ Institutional Assessment Pilot Project, a statewide initiative helping New Jersey libraries deepen their equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) practices through structured assessment, reflection, and action. We invite 10 libraries across New Jersey to participate in a collaborative pilot designed to test, refine, and apply the EDI-NJ Institutional Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Assessment Tool.

Participating libraries will:

  • Deepen their organizational understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI).
  • Receive individualized consulting (1-hour onboarding debrief and 4 hours of consulting) with an EDI consultant to interpret results and create actionable plans.
  • Contribute valuable feedback that will inform the statewide EDI Framework for NJ Libraries and shape future implementation.

Participation is free of cost and designed to intentionally create space for reflection, collaboration, and capacity building across New Jersey’s library community. If your library is committed to advancing equity and inclusion and to shaping this important statewide resource, we encourage you to apply. Please review the pilot overview (link), eligibility criteria, and timeline outlined below before submitting your application.

This virtual information session will help you understand what the project is and what you can expect from your participation.
