Part-time Children Librarian

The Gloucester City Library is seeking a motivated and customer service minded part-time children service librarian to work about 12-16 hours/week. The main responsibilities include but not limited to preparing and delivering age-appropriate story time, crafts time and other children’s programs, serving patrons of all ages at the front desk, conducting library tours and reaching out to the local schools and communities. 

Qualifications/Requirements: MLIS/MLS degree from an accredited college or library students in  children services track who have completed most degree credits; availability for evening shifts and weekend shifts; strong customer service skills and interpersonal skills; effectively promotes library services in a positive and professional manner when interacting with the public.

Applications will be reviewed in the following order:  residents of Gloucester City, residents of Camden County, NJ State Residents.  If the chosen applicant is a not a New Jersey resident, he or she must become a bona fide New Jersey resident to be appointed to the position within the timeframe designated by the Library, not to exceed one year. “Good Faith” Salary, Range, or Rate of Pay

$25.00-28.00 /hr for library degree holders and $15-20.00/hr for library students.
