The Moorestown Public Library is seeking a dynamic Adult Services Librarian.
HOURS:
Twelve weekend hours for 3 out of every 4 weekends including Saturdays 9am-5pm and Sundays 12:30-5pm.
EXPECTED START DATE: August 1
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Comfort level with current and emerging technologies and the ability to adapt to rapidly changing circumstances.
- Ability to answer a variety of questions with enthusiasm in a reference department serving patrons of all ages.
- Customer-focused: friendly, helpful, courteous, and energetic with a positive attitude
- Outstanding communication skills
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
- Master’s degree in library science from an ALA-accredited program is preferred. MLS students will be considered.
- Prior library experience is preferred.
EXAMPLES OF WORK:
- Answering reference and reader’s advisory questions
- Facilitating programs
- Providing technical assistance including 1 on 1 tech help
SALARY and BENEFITS:
$25-32 per hour, commensurate with education and experience. Sick and vacation pay and enrollment in retirement program.
