In this program participants will learn how mobile applications and apps can be applied to usage and/or management within the library. It will focus mainly on free apps available in Apple’s App Store, Google Play, and Amazon’s App Market. Participants will learn about the current status of each market and the various types of apps that are available, such as web-based apps versus native apps.
Participants will be able to:
- Identify practical mobile apps for libraries
- Match the appropriate app to the right task
- Define the differences between the different mobile app markets and the types of apps
