Irene Langlois is the Head of Outreach Services at the Maplewood Memorial Library. Her responsibilities include programming, collection development, readers advisory and reference for tweens and teens.  Irene acts as the Library’s liaison to the middle and high schools as well as local non-profits who provide teen services.  She also spearheaded the Library's makerspace and is responsible for its further development.  Prior to her present position, Irene was the Young Adult Librarian for 3 years and a Children's Librarian for approximately 4 years.  She received her MLIS from Rutgers and is a member of NJLA’s YA Services Section.  Irene’s previous work experience was in banking.
