Of all your many roles, the one you are judged on by everyone is your teaching. Yet, the environment of the library is different from a classroom. Learn how to become regarded as a great teacher, manage challenging classes and teachers, and deal with a disruptive student.
After this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Distinguish between control and management.
- Identify attitudes they have that set the stage for problematic behavior when they are teaching, and learn how to change them.
- Develop a plan to create a positive library environment which fosters learning and sends the message that the library is a warm, welcoming place.
