Jonathan M. Torres, MLIS MA
Assistant Professor, Business and Data Services Librarian Rutgers University-Newark

Jonathan is a Business and Data Services Librarian specializing in teaching data and information literacy and statistical and data visualization software. He provides course-integrated and resource-specific instruction in business-based subject areas, develops and delivers data-related workshops, and offers consultative support such as finding data sets, assisting with data analysis software, and data management planning for universities, government, and external organizations. Jonathan received an M.S. in library and information science and an M.A. and B.A. in labor studies and employment relations from Rutgers University-New Brunswick. He is a LEADING Fellow for the LIS Education and Data Science Integrated Network Group (LEADING) program.

Jonathan is an accomplished keynote speaker who has presented at both national and international conferences for his research on bibliometrics and pedagogical practices utilizing AI-generated models, which has been published in peer-reviewed publications such as the Science & Technology Libraries and the Journal of Business & Finance Librarianship.
