Theme of the Month: Maker Culture

Kate Vasilik is the Supervising Librarian and Head of User Services at Piscataway Public Library, where she has worked since July 2011. Previously, she was the Teen Librarian at Franklin Lakes Public Library. Since earning her MLIS from Rutgers University in 2005, she has been very involved in NJLA, including serving as President of the Young Adult Section. In her current position at Piscataway Library, in addition to serving as the head of the User Services department, she also focuses on service to those in their 20s and 30s, and is part of the team of librarians responsible for the creation of the library's Make It Yourself makerspace project.
