Submit to the 2023 ELC pitch competition ($10,000 in prizes, sponsored by EBSCO & ALA)

Submissions are now open for the Entrepreneurship & Libraries Pitch Competitionhttps://entrelib.org/elcpc2023/ 

Five libraries will be selected to compete in the May 4 (3-4pm EST) pitch competition via Zoom, and all five libraries will win funding:
1st place: $4,000 | 2nd: $2,500 | 3rd: $1,500 | 4th & 5th: $500
The audience choice award will be an additional $1,000 for one of the 5 libraries.

Naloxone Training Opportunities in March

Join Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and the New Jersey Department of Human Services for a free, virtual training about overdose death prevention strategies including the appropriate administration of naloxone and rescue breathing. Sessions will be held on March 13th and 29th from 1-2:30pm. Across the state and at all types of institutions, New Jersey’s libraries are engaged in valuable projects every day that are ready to be grown, modernized, increased, or revamped. Maybe it’s a program that needs a fresh infusion of technology, a collaboration that could benefit from more creative publicity, or a lending initiative that has simply exceeded its capacity.

2023 Statewide Summer Reading Workshops

Summer Reading Workshops-Registration Opens Feb. 13, 2023

The Statewide Summer Reading Committee has scheduled the dates for the 2023 Summer Reading Workshops for public library staff, two of which will be in person and one will be virtual. All workshops will run from 10 am – 1:30 pm (registration starting at 9:30 am). Breakfast refreshments will be provided for the in-person workshops.
