The Sussex County Library System (SCLS) has reopened its search for a Branch Manager at its Franklin Branch. Located in a small town, this branch is one of two walkable branches within our library system with a wonderful staff and programming for all ages. It is beloved by the community that it serves, and has a small town feel with the support and resources of a larger system.

- ALA-accredited MLS/MLIS plus valid driver’s license
- 2+ years of post-MLS librarian experience
- NJ residency or ability to relocate to NJ upon employment, as required by state law
- Versatility

- Experience and/or interest in
- Supervision and empowerment of staff
- Participation on a system-wide management team
- Delighting library users with collections and programming
- Leadership, both within and outside the organization
- Active community outreach
- Growing and taking on new experiences and challenges
What’s the schedule? This is a 35 hours/week position, including an average of 1 night per week & 1 or 2 Saturdays per month.
What’s the salary? minimum salary of $65,839 based on experience, plus excellent benefits.
