Location: Gloucester Township-Blackwood Rotary Public Library
Salary: $30.1048 hr ($54,790.73 annually), 35 hours per week
Schedule: Based on library needs and will include days, evenings & weekends
The Camden County Library is seeking a collaborative leader focused on team building, customer service and community engagement to oversee the day-to-day operations and services of our Gloucester Township-Blackwood Rotary Public Library and contribute to the success of the Library’s goals, strategic direction and vision.
Under the direction of the Associate Director of Public Services the person in this position will:
- Lead and supervise branch staff including scheduling, training, development, performance evaluations, coaching and discipline
- Ensure that the branch offers an array of programming for all ages
- Develop a diverse collection in coordination with branch staff
- Build relationships with educational and community agencies and organizations
- Work in cooperation with township officials regarding building issues
- Prepare the branch’s annual budget request
- Serve as a member of the CCLS management team as well as other teams and system committees
- Public service duties include answering reference and readers advisory questions for all customers, resolving complex customer issues, assisting customers at the circulation desk and public computers, and other related duties as required.
- May be scheduled at other branches as necessary

Requirements:
A Master's degree in Library or Information Science in a library program accredited by the American Library Association and two (2) years full time equivalent of professional librarian experience. Prior supervisory experience a plus. The chosen candidate is required to obtain a valid Professional Librarian Certificate issued by Thomas Edison State College. Appointee may be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey if the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.
