Gloucester City Library is looking for a library intern/ temporary children librarian to help with weekly children program and summer reading program.
Qualifications and Requirements: strong customer service skills and interpersonal skills; enthusiastic about working with juveniles of all ages; must have team-working qualities to positively interact with other employees; knowledge of current trends and practices in children and teen services, literature and materials. Current MLIS/MLS students with children/teen track who have completed at least 20 credits or current student who has prior children service experience will be considered as intern.
Hours and compensation: Approximate 20 hours per week. $25.00 per hour for temporary librarian and $15 per hour for library intern.
Duration: from now till September, 2023. Availability for 2023 Summer Reading Program is a must. Preferred Start Date: Immediate.
