The Pequannock Township Public Library has an opening for an exciting opportunity in ourAdult Services department. Our well-loved and very busy library is located in a growing suburban community.
We’re seeking a forward thinking, enthusiastic, customer service oriented person who thrives in a collaborative environment, to work at our Adult Services information desk. The right candidate will have public library experience and be familiar with current technologies. Tasks include covering the Adult Services Desk, collection development, assisting with adult programming, supervising two part time employees and three library pages, and marketing of library services and programs via print and social media platforms. Performs other duties as needed or as determined to be useful to the Library!
Qualifications include an MLS or MLIS from an ALA accredited institution and a NJ Professional Librarian Certification. We will also consider a student currently enrolled in an ALA accredited MLIS program. Candidates must have the ability to work effectively with the public and the staff. Experience with Polaris ILS and WordPress is required. Preference will be given to someone with adult programming experience and digital marketing skills.
This 35 hour per week position includes weekday, night, and weekend hours. Salary is commensurate with experience. All employees are members of the NJ PERS Pension plan.
