Location:              M. Allan Vogelson Regional Branch, Voorhees  

Salary:                   $32.9671 hr ($60,000.00 annually) 

Schedule:             Based on library needs, primarily Monday through Friday during business hours

The Camden County Library System is seeking a talented graphic artist who will coordinate and manage all aspects of the Library’s visual communications. The artist will create visual concepts using design software that will be used for print materials, such as posters, flyers, calendars, annual reports and brochures, logos, promotional materials, and online media. 

They will oversee the Library’s social media presence and will post content and promote services on a variety of social media platforms. The artist will have a major role in creating consistent visual branding, display, and user experiences at our eight branch locations.

The successful applicant will have demonstrated proficiency with the Adobe Suite and associated graphic design software, the ability to work with Windows OS, and possess full comprehension of digital design for web, email blasts, and social media. The artist’s portfolio should show skill with typography, font selection, color theory, and design principles.  The artist must have experience working with printers and preparing artwork for production. Other essential skills include organization and time management skills, communication and presentation skills, attention to detail and accuracy, problem solving skills, managing a budget, creativity, emotional intelligence, and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.

Candidates must provide a link to a portfolio with examples of recent design work along with their application.

Requirements: 

Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate's degree in Graphic Design or Multimedia and three (3) years of full time experience in work involving graphic arts. 

NOTE:  Applicants who do not possess an Associate’s degree may substitute a postsecondary certificate of completion of a business or vocational course of study in page layout and/or graphic design software with an emphasis on publishing applications.
