Large quantity of free library shelving available

For many years, the Mary Jacobs Foundation operated a branch of the Somerset County Library in Rocky Hill. That facility is now closed and will be renovated and remodeled to provide a smaller neighborhood-oriented library. As a result of this downsizing, the Foundation is offering to any library in New Jersey a considerable quantity of high-quality library shelving in good to excellent condition.

This is an opportunity for any library seeking to expand or to replace outdated or failing shelving stock.

The only stipulation is that the receiving library be willing to disassemble and haul it away at its expense.

There is black shelving available as well as ivory colored shelving. All shelving units feature end panels. If you are interested, please email me and I'll send links to a detailed catalog of what is available as well as pictures of the shelving.

Please let me know if you are interested or know of a library that might be. Priority consideration will be given to the library responding earliest and wishing the largest quantity of the shelving.

If you have any questions, please either email me or call me at the number below. Also, please let me know if you have trouble accessing either set of files.

I am sending this notification as widely as possible to public libraries throughout New Jersey. If you know of a school library, public or private, that may be interested, please pass it along. I'm hoping to find a New Jersey home for the shelving, but will extend the offer to libraries in Pennsylvania, Delaware and New York if no one here is interested.
