Location:                Anthony P. Infanti Bellmawr Branch Library, Bellmawr

Salary:                     $25.1387 per hour ($45,752.43 annually-Librarian 1)
                                 $26.3950 per hour ($48,038.90 annually-Librarian 2)

Schedule:              35 hours per week - Based on library needs and will include days, evenings & rotating weekends

Description of Duties

The Camden County Library is seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and creative Librarians who love to work with the public both in person and virtually. Duties include developing and presenting Youth Services programming for the age group birth through fifth grade; providing reference and reader’s advisory services to all ages; answering questions in-person, over the phone and by email; assisting customers on the public computers; collection development including purchasing, weeding, and upkeep of the assigned collection area; proactively conducting outreach to the local community and organizations; conducting library tours; assisting at the circulation desk as needed; and performing other related duties as required. May be scheduled at other Library facilities. May act as the Person-in-Charge of the branch. 

 

Education/Certification/Experience/ Requirements:

A Master's degree in Library or Information Sciences in a library program accredited by the American Library Association or from a New Jersey College Master's program in Library Science that has been deemed acceptable by Thomas Edison State College. 

Possession of a NJ Professional Librarian Certificate issued by Thomas Edison College or the credentials and willingness to obtain a NJ Professional Librarian Certificate upon hiring.   Appointee may be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey if the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.
Librarian 2 requires: One year of full time equivalent professional librarian experience as well as the requirements listed above
