The Pequannock Township Public Library has an opening for an exciting opportunity in our Adult Services department. Our well-loved and very busy library is located in a growing suburban community.
We’re seeking a forward thinking, enthusiastic, customer service oriented person who thrives in a collaborative environment, to fill an upcoming vacancy at our Adult Services information desk. The right candidate will have public library experience and be familiar with current technologies. Duties include covering the Adult Services Desk, assisting with adult programming, and assisting with public relations responsibilities. Plus, other duties as assigned.
Qualifications include an MLS or MLIS from an ALA accredited institution and a NJ Professional Librarian Certification. We will also consider a student currently enrolled in an ALA accredited MLIS program. Candidates must have the ability to work effectively with the public and the staff. Experience with Polaris ILS system is a plus. Preference will be given to someone with adult programming experience and digital marketing skills.
The schedule includes one evening per week, Fridays 9-5:30 and every third Saturday. The salary is $31.84 per hour. This position will be available January 2023.
