Children’s Librarian, Part-time 19 hours a week
Evenings and some Saturdays
Description:
Working under the Coordinator of Children’s Services, and with the Children’s Services team, the part-time Children’s Librarian is responsible for planning and implementing children's programming and increasing community engagement through outreach.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement creative youth programming to help foster a love of reading and learning, including story times, crafts, activities for children of all ages, class visits and tween programs.
Participate in outreach efforts to promote library programs, services, and resources.
Provide outstanding customer service, reference and readers’ advisory services to children, families, caregivers, and educators.
Requirements:
A master’s degree in Library or Information Science and 2 years of professional experience is preferred.
Familiarity with SirsiDynix Horizon ILS is a plus.
