Librarian - Part Time
Berkeley College seeks qualified librarian to provide part time user assistance and lending services to the campus community. ALA -MLS/ MLIS or equivalent degree required. Day and afternoon availability required (9am to 5pm, minimum twice per week.)
Job Responsibilities:
Supervise the use of and activity within the library; provide basic and in-depth information services on site, by telephone and through real-time Chat; oversee lending functions, troubleshoot basic computer and application issues, collect use statistics and other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ability to facilitate student driven learning in the information seeking process
- A commitment to service and student success
- Knowledge of integrated library management systems, databases, and other web based information sources
Academic Credentials:
Requires a master's degree from a program accredited by the American Library Association, or from a master's level program in library and information studies accredited or recognized by the appropriate national body of another country.
