Job Summary:
The Springfield Free Public Library is looking to hire a part-time library assistant to work at the circulation desk on Saturdays from 9-5 pm (and during July and August: 9:30am-1 pm) with additional available shifts in our circulation desk and technical processing department.
Qualifications / Salary:
Requirements for the position include having a high school diploma or equivalent, enjoying working with the public, being comfortable working with computers, and being physically able to shelve books. The starting salary is $15.13 per hour, in accordance with the New Jersey minimum wage for 2024. The position also offers paid sick time in accordance with NJ state law, plus paid vacation time based on the number of hours worked per week.
