Hours: 12 hours weekly; Suggested schedule: Monday through Thursday 3pm-6pm; flexibility to cover other shifts as requested
Education: 4 year degree from an accredited college or university; MLS/MLIS student preferred
Experience: Experience working with young adults preferred
Compensation: $17-$25/hr, depending on completion date of MLS/MLIS receipt

Job Summary:
The Fort Lee Public Library, serving two culturally diverse communities of over 40,000, seeks an outgoing & dynamic individual to join our teen services team. The qualified candidate will demonstrate commitment and the ability to deliver superior customer-driven services to the entire community with a strong interest in services for teens in grades 7-12.  A proactive nature, flexibility and a knack for creative problem solving are essential.  Duties include assisting teenage patrons with using the library’s resources, processing, circulating and shelving library materials, and helping to create, promote, and supervise teen programs. This position is perfect for a MLS/MLIS student or someone considering pursuing a library science degree. Extensive on-the-job training will be provided.
