Adult Services Librarian – Part time
The Moorestown Public Library is seeking a dynamic librarian to join its Adult Services team. The ideal candidate will be customer service oriented, have outstanding communication skills, and possess the ability to answer a variety of questions with enthusiasm in an Adult Services department serving patrons of all ages. Comfort with current and emerging technologies is a must, as is the ability to adapt to rapidly changing circumstances.
Duties will include reference and reader’s advisory; collection development; technology training and one-on-ones; assist with outreach as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.
Hours: Tuesday and Wednesday evenings (5-9 pm) and four Sundays (12:30-5pm) a month.
Required qualifications: Master’s Degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited program. Students nearing completion of a degree will be considered.
Compensation Range from $24 to $31 per hour, commensurate with education and experience. Benefits include paid sick and vacation time and enrollment in retirement program.
Employment is contingent on passing a pre-employment physical and a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
