The Moorestown Public Library is seeking a dynamic librarian to join its adult services team. The ideal candidate will be customer service oriented, have outstanding communication skills, and possess the ability to answer a variety of questions with enthusiasm in a reference department serving patrons of all ages. Comfort with current and emerging technologies is a must, as is the ability to adapt to rapidly changing circumstances.
Duties:
- reference and reader’s advisory
- collection development
- developing, scheduling, and conducting a variety of in-person and virtual programs for adults
- working with the social media team
Hours:
up to 24 hours per week including one or two evenings per week and one Saturday per month.
Required qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited program. Students nearing completion of a degree will be considered.
Compensation Range:
$24 to $31 per hour, commensurate with education and experience. Benefits include paid sick and vacation time and enrollment in retirement program.
