PT Children’s Librarian will be responsible for answering reference questions; developing and presenting children's programs; some collection development; and working on special projects as needed. This part-time position is for 20 hours per week, including some evening and Saturday shifts.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
A Master’s Degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited program. Students nearing completion of a degree will be considered. The successful candidate must possess or be eligible for the New Jersey Professional Librarian Certificate.
Residency in New Jersey is required by the "New Jersey First Act" (R.S.52:14-7). If you begin your office, position or employment on September 1, 2011 or later, you must reside in New Jersey. If you do not reside in New Jersey, you have one year after the date you take your office, position or employment to relocate your residence to New Jersey. If you do not do so, you are subject to removal from your office, position or employment. Residency in Deptford Township preferred.
