Monroe Township Library Events Coordinator Part-Time

The Monroe Library is seeking a talented and motivated Events Coordinator to organize outstanding and exceptional community events hosted by the Library throughout the year. The Events Coordinator will be responsible for planning, publicity, and organizing large events such as the Township’s Farmers Market.

The Library Events Coordinator should be well-organized and possess excellent communication and attention to detail skills. These events are a unique way for the Library to reach out to the community promoting the Library’s mission and at the same time providing interesting and creative activities for the residents. The Events Coordinator will work closely with library administration, the Library’s program team, and when necessary, the Friends of the Library and Library Foundation.

 

Education and Experience preferred:

  • A BA/BS degree.
  • Demonstration of positive attitude for communicating with the public and for working as part of a team.
  • Computer skills.
  • Strong communication and social media skills
  • Demonstrated organizational skills.
  • Can communicate a passion for libraries.

 

Hours for this part time position include weekends and occasional evening hours.

 

Starting salary: $27.51 per hour
