County College of Morris Library is seeking a Reference Librarian. This is a generalist position involving tasks that vary over the course of the academic year. It may be a good opportunity for a recent MLIS/MLS graduate with some library experience, or for a seasoned librarian who is flexible and enjoys variety.

Hours: Full time, 12 months/year, 35 hours/week. All hours in person. Monday-Friday, varied hours between 8:30-6:30. Occasional Saturdays in rotation. Flexibility required to teach evening classes as needed.

Minimum pay: $62,294

Job summary: Support students in developing research and information literacy skills for CCM curriculum and lifelong learning; provide research services and resources for students, faculty, staff, and the community. Provide research tutoring/reference services. Plan and teach research instruction sessions. Serve as liaison to selected academic departments. Evaluate and select materials for collection. May supervise support staff and/or student assistants. Maintain CCM college history archive. Participate in college and Library initiatives as needed.

Qualifications: ALA accredited MLS or MLIS. 3-5 years of relevant library experience. Strong public service and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to use a variety of technology applications including ILS and library technology. Teaching or training experience preferred. Archival experience desirable. Fluency in Spanish desirable.
