Location:               Information Technology Department, Voorhees 

Salary:                    $25.2420 hr ($45,940.44 yr)

Schedule:              35 hours/week, Monday through Friday, generally 9:00-5:00, schedule may vary based on office needs

The Camden County Library is seeking a collaborative team member who can work with staff at all branches and contribute to the Library’s mission and goals. 

Under the direction of the Head of Information Technology, the person in this position will perform such functions as, but not limited to: 

  1. A systemwide Windows 11 migration, Test new OS versions and software patches for functionality and compatibility. 
  2. Website, Library App, and intranet development and testing.
  3. PC management and print release management migration.
  4. Install, configure, and repair drives, hardware and software, monitor the help desk and phones to assist staff. 
  5. Configure, install, and maintain AV equipment. 

You might be a good fit if you have experience with a combination of the following:

  1. Open-source software, programming languages, and or customized coding.
  2. Office 365, Adobe Suite, Mac/iOS, and or Google Admin Console/Chrome OS.
  3. Database management using Excel, Access, and or SQL.

At times, this position requires the ability to lift 50-80lbs, crawl in tight spaces, use ladders, stoop down, bend over or reach up or down low. etc.

REQUIREMENTS Applicants must meet one of the following or a combination of both experience and education as listed
Five (5) years of professional experience utilizing or implementing electronic information systems, analyzing information systems and/or developing procedures for the use of information systems, or in providing user support and solving user problems in a helpdesk or related environment.
OR
Possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; and one (1) year of the professional experience as defined in Note 2.
OR
Possession of a bachelor's degree or a master's degree in a computer science, information technology, or a closely related field.
OR
Possession of twenty-four (24) semester hour credits in computer science, information technology, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university; and three (3) years of the professional experience as defined in Note 2.
Note 1: Thirty (30) semester-hour credits are equal to one (1) year of relevant experience.
Note 2: "Professional experience" refers to work that is analytical, evaluative, and interpretive; requires a range of basic knowledge of the profession's concepts and practices; and is performed with the authority to act and make accurate and informed decisions.
LICENSE: Appointee will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is 
necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.
