Civil Service Job Specification 07569
28 Hours/Week, including 1 weeknight and 1 Saturday per month
Schedule:
Monday 12pm - 5pm
Tuesday 9am -1pm
Wednesday 1pm - 9pm
Thursday 9am - 5pm
Friday 9am - 2pm
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Library Science from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited institution
- Hold or be eligible for a New Jersey Professional Librarian Certificate
- Knowledge of databases and print reference services
- Ability to use current library technology
- Strong customer service skills
- Flexibility required to fill last minute schedule changes; schedule may vary
Responsibilities include:
- Providing reference and readers advisory services for adults
- Accessing databases and other reference materials
- Assisting patrons using computer resources
- Host a 1x monthly Book Club meeting
- Assist with Outreach
- Other duties as assigned
Compensation: Salary $33.64/hr.
