The Washington Township Public Library seeks a dynamic, customer- service oriented, creative individual who thrives in a collaborative environment to fill an upcoming vacancy in our active Youth Services Department.
EXAMPLES OF WORK
- Collaborate with the Youth Services Librarian to design, organize and present programs for young adults.
- Adopt a community engagement mindset and maintain effective relationships with schools and community groups in order to plan and deliver programs and services that meet the needs of teens.
- Employ various strategies and methods to market programs to a broad audience using digital, print and social media.
- Maintain social media and online media presence for the Teens.
- Assist in overall operation of the children’s and teen/young adult area.
- Performs related duties as assigned or needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school graduate or equivalent; library experience helpful.
- Knowledge of popular reading trends, websites and electronic media that support a relevant young adult collection.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that include day, evening and weekend hours.
- A working knowledge of Canva, WordPress, Mailchimp, social media platforms and other software.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
This position will be available mid-December.
The schedule includes a rotation of day, evening and weekend hours. The position is 25 hours per week. The salary is $16.10 per hour and includes vacation and PTO.
