Schedule
22 hours per week: Tuesday 4-9, Thursday 1-9, Friday 2-6, every other Saturday and Sunday 12-5

Duties
East Brunswick Public Library, an innovative library serving a diverse community, is searching for a creative professional to join our Youth Services department as a Teen and Tween Services Library Associate.
A Library Associate works alongside the professional librarians at the Children’s Desk/Teen Services Desk, or works independently as dictated by department need. Like every member of the department, this Library Associate will be expected to be a passionate advocate for teens, youth, and families.
This position will involve staffing both the Teen and Youth Services desks and will require regular evening and weekend shifts. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, flexible, forward-thinking, and driven to promote the value of the library to our community.
This position will focus on coordinating and managing teen and tween programming. The Library Associate will work with Youth Services Librarians to develop the library’s teen book collection.
Finally, this candidate will demonstrate a strong enthusiasm for working in a collaborative team environment both with Youth Services and across the library in order to advance the mission of the library.

Educational Attainment
Bachelor’s degree required and experience with youth is preferred.

Salary
Starting at $25.91 per hour
