The Matawan-Aberdeen Public Library seeks an enthusiastic, tech-savvy, customer service-oriented library school student to join our friendly team. This is a wonderful opportunity to gain experience in our active Youth Services department.
Job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Reference and readers’ advisory for youth and their caregivers
- Collection development (selection/weeding/processing)
- Programming
Requirements:
- MLIS candidate with degree program in progress
- Excellent customer service skills
- Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends
- Some public library experience a plus
- Knowledge of SIRSI Workflows also a plus
Schedule: Wednesdays, 5-9pm, plus additional fill-in hours, as needed (increased hours in the summer months, schedule TBD)
Salary: $22/hour
