LibraryLinkNJ, The New Jersey Library Cooperative (LLNJ), is seeking strong library advocates to join its Executive Board to serve in the following positions, each serving a three year term beginning July 1, 2024:

Miss Rumphius Award 

The New Jersey Center for the Book proudly presents the annual Miss Rumphius Award, based upon the title character of the National Book Award winner by Barbara Cooney.

In the spirit of Miss Rumphius, we seek to amplify the work of exemplary librarians, library staff, library students, and school librarians who implement creative and engaging programs to improve their environments. We hope the Miss Rumphius Award inspires other librarians to plant the seeds of these ideas to enhance literacy in their own communities!

Register for the 2024 Annual Virtual New Directors Orientation

Join us for our annual New Directors Training that will once again be offered as a virtual event on Wednesday, February 14^th, and Wednesday, February 21^st.

As a new director, NJSL is here to support you in your role by offering basic training on a number of topics that are considered core knowledge for any leader of a public library in the state.

TOPICS INCLUDE:

Librarians, administrators, and library school students from across the state are invited to submit proposals for poster sessions at the 2024 New Jersey Library Association Annual Conference on May 30 and May 31. Poster sessions feature innovative library program ideas, success stories, research studies, problem solving and more!

The New Jersey State Library is hosting training on Northstar Digital Literacy from Theresa Sladek of Literacy Minnesota in January and February.  These sessions are open to all and will be recorded.
