PT Patron Assistant – Circulation & History Center

$18.00/hour, 19 hours/week Anticipated schedule: Sunday 9-2, Monday 12-8, Tuesday 12-8

The Avalon Free Public Library seeks a year-round, part-time Patron Assistant - Circulation & History Center. Applicants must have work experience demonstrating strong communication and customer service skills and a desire to work closely with the public as part of our patron services team. Duties include assisting patrons at the circulation desk and with computers and personal technology as well as assisting with visitor engagement at the Avalon History Center.

Requirements: Work experience demonstrating strong communication and customer service skills. Proficiency with computers and mobile devices and willingness to learn new software and systems. One (1) year FT customer service or teaching experience, required. Prior public library experience and experience working with or a demonstrated interest in local history, preferred.
