PSEG offering Free Bilingual Sesame Street Activity Books Focusing on Community Values

Forums

The NJ State Library is assisting the PSEG Foundation to let public libraries in PSEG’s service areas know about PSEG’s partnership with Sesame Workshop on a program called Little Neighbors: Building a Better World Together for children ages 2-6 and their families. The program, in both English and Spanish, nurtures children’s understanding of and helps them feel part of the community focusing on six community values: Compassion, Safety, Environment, Volunteerism, Continual Improvement, and Being a Good Neighbor.

PSEG would like families across their service territory (click here for the NJ Public Library list to see if your library is in their service area) to enjoy and benefit from the program and know that libraries are a bridge to these families. In addition to videos and electronic material, PSEG has printed copies of the Activity Guides (bilingual in English-Spanish) if you would like to request them for families in your library. The Guides will be shipped to your library for your patrons to bring home to their families.

If your library is interested, please request how many printed guides you need by July 30, 2021 by contacting Marion O’Neill, Manager – Corporate Contributions, PSEG, marion.oneill [at] pseg.com. If you cannot make the deadline, she is willing to give you a few extra days to request them. The printed Guides will be mailed to your library by September 10, 2021. Little Neighbors will be announced via a Facebook Live event on August 11, 2021 in preparation for the start of preschool in the fall.

Here are PDFs of the program overview and the Activity Guide so you can get an idea of what the Little Neighbors initiative is about.

If you have any questions, please contact Marion O’Neill, Manager – Corporate Contributions, PSEG, marion.oneill [at] pseg.com.

Thank you.
