Register Now for NJLibsGrowBiz Summit!

The 2022 NJLibsGrowBiz Summit will be held virtually on September 15, 2022 from 10am-2pm.

This mini-conference is focused on the value libraries bring to the small business owners and entrepreneurs in their communities. We will be paying particular focus to how entrepreneurship can change lives, empower people, and revitalize neighborhoods. Speakers will provide insight on the role libraries can play in economic development and share creative ways libraries can start or grow their business outreach and services.

NJSL Seeking Reviewers for Next Round of LSTA Grants

NJSL is allocating federal funding from the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) through a competitive grant program to address literacy needs. We are recruiting reviewers to read and score applications from public libraries and all library consortia organized as 501(c)(3) entities across the state. We want to gather reviewers who represent all our libraries, big and small, and from all regions. Please consider joining our team and helping decide on these awards.

Survey - Public Library Disaster Preparedness and Community Recovery Assistance

We are asking for your help to benchmark both public library preparedness for disaster and their contribution to community resilience efforts. This research is being conducted by Monika Antonelli (Minnesota State University, Mankato), Rebekkah Smith Aldrich (Mid-Hudson Library System), Adrian K. Ho (University of Chicago) and René Tanner (Rollins College).

NJSL New Grants Management Software Informational Webinar

The State Library will soon roll out new grants management software from Foundant Technologies called Grant Lifecycle Manager. 2022 LSTA Grants: Funding For Literacy Projects

The State Library's grants manager, Maura Walsh, and the Lifelong Learning team, have recorded an overview of the process and procedures required to apply for the LSTA 2022 grants, along with helpful examples of possible opportunities. These apply to New Jersey public libraries and all library consortia organized as 501(c)(3) entities.
